Met een mandorla wordt de elipsvormige lichtkrans bedoeld die het menselijk lichaam omgeeft. Een helderziende kan
de aura waarnemen van subjecten die aan stemmingswisselingen onderhevig zijn en corresponderende kleur schakeringen
vertonen. In het algemeen schijnt het om een lichtbron te gaan die warmte uitstraling vertaalt in caleidoscopisch gekleurd
licht waarop een mandorla een uitzondering vormt, door zijn associatie met geestelijk gevorderde persoonlijkheden. Misschien
is deze mysterieuze lichtbron het meest wezenlijke deel van een subject dat verdicht naarmate een lichaam verwijdert is van de
bron waaruit het voortkomt. In omgekeerde richting zou een stoffelijke substantie kunnen oplossen in een verschijning van licht,
hetgeen misschien gebeurde met de transformatie van Jezus op de berg Tabor. In principe zou men zijn ‘lichtgestalte’ moeten
kunnen ontmoeten en is dit de uitdrukking die wij tegemoet zien. Ons biologisch lichaam wordt achtergelaten en vervangen

H O L Y H A L O
Since time immemorial images with a halo indicate sanctification of an individual. Rarely does
one see a life-person with such a glow around its head, although I had the occasion once with
my mother. I am quite sure she herself was unaware of this event and neither one of us spoke
about it. Clairvoyants no doubt have abundant experience of this phenomenon which is not
exceptional as all bodies – including animals – exude warmth translated into light. Vegetation too
is surrounded by a form of light, probably dependent on their chemical composition. Stones and
rocks are known to feel ‘warm’ or ‘cold’ at the touch which reveals their level of aliveness on the
scale of beingness. The main and most important conclusion is that no inorganic matter exists in
the whole universe which is teeming with life, even in the apparent most desolate areas. This is a
hopeful sign for those of us who are raised with the idea of death and decay, which is only an
appearance of transformation taking place from one substance into another on the natural plane.
A transformation in consciousness is a different matter and associated with holiness. In that case
an organism is lifted into a different dimension, leaving a biological image behind in exchange of its invisible spiritual essence. (22-12-2020)
