Over het algemeen voelen wij ons het middelpunt van ons eigen universum. Dat is niet zo gek als je bedenkt dat dit het uitgangspunt is van ons bewustzijn als persoon waar het ego is geboren. Voortaan benoemen wij ons met de naam die ons wordt gegeven ter identificatie. Tegen het einde van ons leven beginnen wij ons af te vragen of er een vervolg komt op ons aards bestaan en welke literatuur ons ter beschikking staat over dit onderwerp. Dat is nogal wat vanuit filosofisch / theologisch oogpunt en als wij geen vanzelfsprekende antwoorden hebben meegekregen in onze opvoeding hebben wij de vrijheid hier zelf over na te denken.In veel gevallen zal men aansluiting vinden bij een bestaande religie of denkwijze die ook atheïsten aanspreekt en sommigen hebben zich volkomen verzoend met het naderend einde. Hoe het ook zei, de werkelijke biologische erkenning voldoet niet meer en een antwoord wordt vereist van het onderwerp: wel of geen voortzetting van bestaan en in het eerste geval, hoe dan? De invulling die daar aan gegeven wordt varieert per persoon, maar in elk geval is het een proces dat schrijfster dezes getracht heeft enigszins in kaart te brengen. (04-03-2020)
D I V I N E P R I N C I P L E
God – Divine Principle – has always been; but the consciousness thereof has not. Or has it? Only when man was developed enough could he conceive of (a) God. As far back in (written) history as we can go there always have been the exceptions, functioning as ‘beacons of light’, for the multitude to follow.
In this way the Truth has always been available for the earnest seeker. And what is Truth? That man is immortal, divine and no different from God Himself; how could he not be, God being the only example he could be patterned after…..Did a semblance of a separation take place in the far, distant past? Or was it a gradual awakening when man’s faculties matured? I am an advocate of the latter hypothesis, for I don’t think man knowingly shut himself out of paradise. Even though it may have been his primal condition, I believe he became capable of understanding his divine ancestry at a later date. It had to be a CONSCIOUS effort on his part to accept what came to be called Divinity, foregoing materiality in favour of spirituality, conceiving DIVINE PRINCIPLE as his IDEAL, actualized as spiritual PERFECTION.
Perfection not as a static principle, but dynamic, not progressive but evolving from one perfect state to another. Only man can conceive of Divine Principle; he cannot imagine anything what isn’t already existent in Spirit. His creativity is to materialize what is for the taking, making choices for better or worse: Truth is potentially unformed. It is up to man to fashion his destiny, far removed from the promised land or having it all, right now!
